Dr. Angela Griffin: Angela is a powerhouse leader with a heart for service and a legacy of impact. As CEO of Byrd Barr Place, she leads with purpose—breaking barriers, building community, and boldly advancing racial and economic justice. Angela is also a highly sought-after executive coach and business consultant, empowering organizations and leaders to operate with clarity, confidence, and intention.
Her academic credentials include a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from Seattle University and an executive certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard University— testaments to a journey grounded in scholarship and elevated by sisterhood.
Fierce, faithful, and focused, Angela walks with grace, leads with vision, and shows up with both style and substance. She is also the proud mother of Gabrielle, the current Secretary of the Rho Lambda Zeta Chapter’s Archonette Club youth auxiliary.
These remarkable women embody the values and ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will make on our communities. Their commitment to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood is an inspiration to us all.

“There is a Zeta in every girl regardless of race, creed or color, who has high standards and principles, a good scholarly average, and an active interest in all things that she undertakes to accomplish.”

Words from our President
It’s a great day to be FINER! Welcome to the official website of the Rho Lambda Zeta Chapter. We’re glad you’re here and are delighted to show you what our chapter is all about. Peruse our website to learn about our chapter history, phenomenal members, programs, social activities, and how to contact us.
Rho Lambda Zeta continues to uphold the sorority’s motto of “Community Conscious, Action-Oriented” in SeaTac and surrounding areas. In addition to being an active member of the Seattle National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) , we continue to establish partnerships with various community organizations in greater King County.
We have partnered with Liv’s Table, Black Coffee NW, The March of Dimes, Northside Drill and Step Team, and The Tukwila Pantry. Our chapter continues to implement and participate in programs and events that align with our organizations National programmatic thrusts through Zetas Helping Other People Excel, known as Z-HOPE. We are diligently working on establishing new partnerships to continue our service footprint in our community.
Rho Lambda Zeta has the distinct pleasure of serving as the sponsoring graduate chapter for our undergraduate members of the Kappa Nu Chapter. Kappa Nu has a city-wide charter but currently all members attend the University of Washington main campus. Additional we are the sponsoring chapter for an Archonette Youth Auxiliary Club.
We have numerous events planned for the year and welcome you to come and do some service and give back with us. If you’re looking for service to do with a group of like-minded women, just need to complete some service hours or are interested in membership to our illustrious organization, feel free to reach out on our contacts page or through social media.
